Terms
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Deliberate Pty Ltd (“we”), PO Box 32, Bassendean WA 6054, Australia, which runs SiteStyleGuide at sitestyleguide.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you make an account, you agree to them when you create it. Questions go to hello@sitestyleguide.com.
What SiteStyleGuide is
SiteStyleGuide makes style guides of public websites: their colours, typefaces, logos, favicons, titles and descriptions, read automatically from what each site publishes. Anyone can read the guides. With a free account you can also add websites, save guides and get our newsletter.
Guides are for reference
- Guides are made by software from a website’s own code, at the moment it was captured. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Check anything that matters against the website itself.
- The names, logos, trademarks and designs shown in a guide belong to their owners. Showing them here, to describe a public website, doesn’t mean the owner is connected with, endorses or sponsors SiteStyleGuide, or that you may use them. Using another business’s brand is up to you and the law where you are.
- Colour names, notes and the design-token code are our own work, and you may use them freely, including in commercial projects.
- If you run a website and want its guide removed, use the takedown form. Removal is free.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 to make an account.
- Give a real email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account per person. Usernames mustn’t pretend to be someone else, or be offensive.
- Every account includes our fortnightly newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time and keep your account.
- You can delete your account whenever you like, on your account page. Deleting it cancels any Pro subscription.
Adding websites
- Members can add up to 10 new websites a day. We may change this limit at any time.
- Add only real, public websites. Don’t add sites with adult, violent or illegal content, scams or malware, or sites you know their owners have asked us not to list.
- Your username is shown on guides you add. Adding a site doesn’t give you any rights over its guide.
- We may hide, refuse or remove any guide, for any reason, including reports from other people.
Pro
- Pro is a paid subscription: US$4 a month or US$40 a year. Prices are in US dollars; any tax that applies is shown at checkout. Payments are taken by Stripe.
- Each person can have one free trial of 7 days. Cancel before it ends and you won’t be charged; otherwise your subscription starts when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; Pro carries on to the end of the time you’ve paid for, then stops. We don’t refund part-used months or years, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, Pro carries on for a few days while the payment is tried again, then stops until it’s paid.
- If we change the price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you, from your next renewal. A founding price stays as long as your subscription does.
- Pro’s limits, such as sites a day and refreshes, are set out on the Pro page. We may change them, and we may limit or end Pro for anyone using it in ways these terms don’t allow.
- Private guides follow the same rules as public ones: we may refuse or remove any that break them.
- Exports and PDF style guides are unofficial, like the guides. Check them against a brand’s own guidelines before relying on them.
Don’t
- Use scripts or bots to add sites, make accounts, or copy guides in bulk.
- Try to break, overload or get around the site’s limits or security, or use it to reach other systems.
- Use the site to harass anyone, or break any law.
If you do, we may suspend or delete your account without warning.
Our part
- We provide SiteStyleGuide as it is, and we may change, pause or stop any part of it.
- Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Apart from those, and as far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from using the site or relying on a guide, and our total responsibility to you is limited to AU$100.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and email account holders about anything important before it applies. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts there can hear any dispute.
